Instructions
- Start by rinsing the millet grains thoroughly under cold water to remove any bitterness.
- Place the rinsed millet in a saucepan and add the water.
- Stir in the salt, dried dill, and mild curry powder.
- Add the finely chopped carrot (and bell pepper, if using) to the pot.
- Bring everything to a boil over medium heat, then reduce the heat to low and cover the pot. Let it simmer gently for about 8-10 minutes. The millet should absorb the water and become soft but still retain a pleasant, fluffy texture, and not mushy like a porridge.
- Once cooked, fluff the millet with a fork and adjust seasoning if needed.
